What is reported

Reuters reported on 9 August 2026 the military closure of Taybeh to non-residents in an attempt to stem settler attacks. Field follow-up published between 14 and 27 August 2026 (Al Jazeera, Christianity Today, Religion News Service, Middle East Eye, Foreign Policy) indicates that the incursions continued after this closure: a fence cut to let livestock in, a tractor driven at full speed at visitors, no access to a newly built property. Human Rights Watch (20 August 2026) and the UN (late August 2026) document displacement of communities across the West Bank — 107 communities and 5,900 Palestinians fully or partially displaced since January 2023. No source dated between 28 August and 5 September 2026 was found for this particular village. No source dated between 31 August and 7 September 2026 was found for this village: the situation persists with no new documented escalation within the window.

Main objection (in French for now)

The context is a land and national conflict between settlers and Palestinian villagers: the Christian faith is not established as the motive for the attacks.

The text (World English Bible)

When he opened the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been killed for the Word of God, and for the testimony of the Lamb which they had. They cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, Master, the holy and true, until you judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” A long white robe was given to each of them. They were told that they should rest yet for a while, until their fellow servants and their brothers, who would also be killed even as they were, should complete their course.

Rev 6:9-11

for then there will be great suffering, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever will be. Unless those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved. But for the sake of the chosen ones, those days will be shortened.

Matt 24:21-22
