England and Wales (Home Office, 8 October 2026): 146,825 hate crimes recorded by the police from April 2025 to March 2026, up 7% in a year (137,560). Racially motivated: 107,926 (+9%); religious: 11,419 (+13%), including +15% against Muslims and +10% against Jews; sexual orientation −1%, disability −5%, transgender identity −4%. 53% are public order offences. The bulletin links peaks to the demonstrations and disorder of September 2025, to the attack on the Heaton Park synagogue (October 2025) and to the start of the conflict between the United States and Iran (March 2026). United States (FBI, 14 August 2026): 10,881 incidents in 2025 against 11,679 in 2024, a 7% drop for comparable agencies; the lowest level in five years. Germany (2025 report of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, June 2026): 12,537 far-right offences with a xenophobic motive (−3.8%), but 1,046 acts of violence of this kind (+6.4%).
Main objection (in French for now)
The Home Office itself writes that the rise from 31,844 (2012-2013) to 128,485 (2021-2022) “has been attributed to improvements in police recording” and that police figures “do not give a reliable trend since 2014”; the victimisation survey (CSEW) shows, on the contrary, a long-term decline.
The text (World English Bible)
Because iniquity will be multiplied, the love of many will grow cold.
Matt 24:12
