Selon le relevé épidémiologique de l'Organisation mondiale de la santé du 2 octobre 2026, 275 284 cas de choléra et de diarrhée aqueuse aiguë et 2 601 morts ont été signalés dans 28 pays entre le 1er janvier et le 30 août 2026. C'est nettement moins qu'à la même période de 2025 (43 % de cas et 58 % de morts en moins).
