In short

The announcement. John, in the book of Revelation, toward the end of the 1st century, announces that the woman pursued by the dragon flees into the wilderness, to a place prepared by God, where she is nourished for 1260 days, also called “a time, times and half a time”.

What happened. This has not happened yet. In the account, this sheltering takes place while the dragon, thrown down to the earth, pursues her.

What is still debated. this protection does not guarantee that no believer will be killed, since the text also speaks of martyrs, and it should not be read as a rapture to heaven.

Main objection (in French for now)

Protection n’égale pas garantie qu’aucun croyant ne soit martyrisé : le 5e sceau et Ap 12:17 disent le contraire.

The text (World English Bible)

The woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that there they may nourish her one thousand two hundred sixty days.

Rev 12:6

Two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, so that she might be nourished for a time, times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

Rev 12:14
