The announcement. John, in the book of Revelation, toward the end of the 1st century, sees four angels holding back the winds of the earth, and receives the order to harm nothing before 144,000 servants of God, from the tribes of Israel, are marked on their foreheads.

What happened. This has not happened yet. In the account, this sheltering comes in between the sixth and the seventh seal.

What is still debated. the place of this scene in time is not certain, because the order of the chapters of Revelation is not necessarily the order of events.

After this, I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the earth, or on the sea, or on any tree. I saw another angel ascend from the sunrise, having the seal of the living God.
