En septembre 2026, la guerre se poursuit avec des frappes quotidiennes des deux côtés : le 25 septembre, des frappes russes sur Kyiv font sept morts ; le 26, des attaques russes et ukrainiennes font au moins dix morts, et l'Ukraine frappe des raffineries russes. Des responsables occidentaux cités par The Telegraph estiment en septembre 2026 les pertes à environ 1,4 million de tués et blessés, dont près de 500 000 morts. Washington propose une rencontre tripartite ; Moscou accuse l'Europe d'entraver les négociations et dit vouloir atteindre ses objectifs militaires.

Jesus answered them, “Be careful that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will lead many astray. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you aren’t troubled, for all this must happen, but the end is not yet.
