What is reported

Iran Alive Ministries, a Christian organization based in Texas, says it recorded 5849 conversions to Christianity in Iran in 2026, and estimates the real figure to be higher. Its founder speaks of dreams and visions of Jesus among Iranian Muslims. This is a reported testimony, not a measurement: a single source, with an interest in the matter, and no independent verification; Iran publishes no figures, and conversion is forbidden there. Surveys on religion also call for caution: in March 2026, the Bible Society withdrew its report on a British "quiet revival," after the polling firm YouGov found fraudulent responses in it.

Main objection (in French for now)

The figure comes from a single organization, which collects donations on this subject, with no possible independent verification in Iran.

I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, and before those who seek their life. I will bring evil on them, even my fierce anger,’ says the LORD; ‘and I will send the sword after them, until I have consumed them. I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from there king and…
