Three state decisions target Christians within the window: Russia: the American Christian mission Mission Eurasia is declared "undesirable"; in August 2026, a court fined the St. Petersburg Christian University 60 000 rubles for two of its books, and the director of a Moscow seminary is convicted for possessing its materials, including Bibles, Vietnam: the Montagnard pastor Y Nuen Ayun, 59, is sentenced to 7 and a half years in prison in Dak Lak province for "undermining the national unity policy", Iran: the Ministry of Intelligence labels several Persian-language Christian television channels as "hostile" actors; cooperating with them may be prosecuted as espionage. These are institutional pressures (fines, prison, bans), not acts of violence: they are classed separately from violent persecution. Each fact rests on a single source; in Vietnam, the charge is political, and in Iran the figures for arrests and deaths put forward by a Christian ministry are not verified.
Main objection (in French for now)
Rev 13:7 requires a victorious war waged by a single authority over every nation; here, there are three states, three national policies, with no coordination.
The text (World English Bible)
It was given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. Authority over every tribe, people, language, and nation was given to him.
Rev 13:7
He will speak words against the Most High, and will wear out the saints of the Most High. He will plan to change the times and the law; and they will be given into his hand until a time and times and half a time.
Dan 7:25
When he opened the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been killed for the Word of God, and for the testimony of the Lamb which they had. They cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, Master, the holy and true, until you judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” A long white robe was given to each of them. They were told that they should rest yet for a while, until their fellow servants and their brothers, who would also be killed even as they were, should complete their course.
Rev 6:9-11
