According to the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH), at least 1408 people were killed and 656 injured from April to June 2026, and at least 796 people were victims of gang-related rape; more than 40% of the victims fell during operations by the security forces, which sometimes used explosive drones. The first quarter had already counted more than 1600 killed. At the end of August, an attack in Kenscoff left dozens dead, including civilians who had taken refuge in a church (Security Council, August 28). The international gang suppression force has not reached even a third of its planned strength, and the elections scheduled for December have been postponed.
Main objection (in French for now)
This is criminal violence within a single country, not a war between nations (Matt 24:7).
The text (World English Bible)
When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come!” Another came out, a red horse. To him who sat on it was given power to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another. There was given to him a great sword.
Rev 6:3-4
Jesus answered them, “Be careful that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will lead many astray. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you aren’t troubled, for all this must happen, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines, plagues, and earthquakes in various places. But all these things are the beginning of birth pains.
