In short

The announcement. The prophet Daniel, in the book of Daniel, announces that Michael, “the great prince” who defends his people, will stand up, that an unprecedented distress will follow, and that those written in the book will be saved.

What happened. This has not happened yet. In the text, Michael stands up first, then comes the distress, then the deliverance, and the resurrection of the dead is announced after that.

What is still debated. the link with Michael's war against the dragon in Revelation is very close, but nothing says it is the same moment.

Main objection (in French for now)

Le rôle exact de Dn 12:1 dans le déclenchement d’Ap 12 n’est pas établi : le raccord est fort, l’identité ne l’est pas.

The text (World English Bible)

“At that time Michael will stand up, the great prince who stands for the children of your people; and there will be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time. At that time your people will be delivered, everyone who is found written in the book.
