Step still to come (one reading among others)
Gog and his coalition come up against Israel (Ezek 38)
? Not yet happened, no date
See the full entry: sources, objections, answersIn short
The announcement. The prophet Ezekiel, in the book of Ezekiel, announces that Gog, of the land of Magog, will gather a coalition of peoples (Meshech, Tubal, Persia, Cush, Put, Gomer, Togarmah) and attack the land of Israel.
What happened. This has not happened yet. The text places this attack only “in the latter days”, without a date, and does not link it to any scene in Revelation.
What is still debated. matching these peoples with present-day countries is speculation, and some matches, such as “Meshech = Moscow”, have no basis in the language.
Main objection (in French for now)
Ézéchiel n’attribue aucune date à cet événement et ne le rattache à aucune scène de l’Apocalypse. Toute position chronologique est une reconstruction, non une donnée du texte.

Ezek 38:1-9
“‘The Lord GOD says: “It will happen in that day that things will come into your mind, and you will devise an evil plan. You will say, ‘I will go up to the land of unwalled villages. I will go to those who are at rest, who dwell securely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, to take the plunder and to take prey; to turn your hand against the waste places that are inhabited, and against the people who are gathered out of the nations, who have gotten livestock and goods, who dwell in the middle of the earth.’ Sheba, Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all its young lions, will ask you, ‘Have you come to take the plunder? Have you assembled your compa…
