The announcement. John, in the book of Revelation, toward the end of the 1st century, announces that seven angels pour out on the earth seven bowls of God's wrath, and that in the midst of these plagues a voice warns: “Behold, I come like a thief”.
What happened. This has not happened yet. In the account, the warning placed after the sixth bowl shows that Jesus's coming is still expected at that point.
What is still debated. the exact place of the bowls in relation to the seventh trumpet and to Christ's visible coming is not established.

I heard a loud voice out of the temple, saying to the seven angels, “Go and pour out the seven bowls of the wrath of God on the earth!” The first went, and poured out his bowl into the earth, and it became a harmful and painful sore on the people who had the mark of the beast, and who worshiped his image. The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man. Every living thing in the sea died.
